The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Once again... DO NOT GIVE ME LLAMAS! I DO NOT WANT THEM!! This is a silly placebo designed to take your money. Giving them out a lot only means you follow the herd mentality, much like sheep to the slaughter. I do not mind it if you trade with someone else, but I will not give you one back if you give one to me. If you like my work, fave it.

Also... please do NOT note me requesting that I commission you! I am getting very sick of that. It's always some artist that really stinks too. I know there's a stamp somewhere that reads "I commission who I want" but I lost the URL. Anyone know where it is?

I woke up this morning and found 293 messages in my inbox. I thought the ratio would be about 250 picutres to about 43 messages. Much to my surprise, it was 30 pictures and 220 messages! I must say when I posted the picture "I Am Confused..." I didn't expect it to get over 150 faves in about 14 hours. Usually it is my policy to thank everyone for their fave, but there are just too many to do in a short time. (Although I could have done without the 11 llamas I got.

) I don't think I got so many faves so fast since "It is known worldwide." Well, to those that have faved, I say to you:
