Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3
So, about the theme of the contest. Well whenever I've felt down and blue because I've been slapped upside the head with an art block, I like to wallow in self pity and blast my favourite tunes XD (LOL) It's extremely therapeutic :P and it really does help to inspire me with new ideas :D.

STOP GIVING ME LLAMAS!! IT IS A STUPID PLACEBO!!

When things go bad for me, things go bad for me all at once.

As if the crap I've been going through with my avatar and sig weren't bad enough, today I had the misfortune of having a drunk driver run into my car. I flipped on my side and went into an embankment. Not only was the other driver stinking drunk, but he was driving on a suspended license and had no insurance. Even worse, after he smacked my car he ran into another car, killing himself and the pregnant woman driving that car.

Estimated cost of repairing my car so far: $2200. I barely have enough saved to cover this.

Please understand that I won't be doing commissions for a while. If I have already commissioned you and not paid you, contact me.

To :iconyuurei-onnanoko:: I should have enough money to continue by the time you finish the original commissions.

PS I still don't want llamas! I got fourteen of them so far. They're shedding everywhere and smell bad! :(

Quamp, I am so sorry to read what happened. Were you hurt?
Please don't worry about the payments, it will be some time yet and I just want to be sure that you are able to take care of what really needs your attention.
I wanted to also let you know that I have moved into my apartment, finally. All that remains is some painting, unpacking and decorating but I can do that all at a leisurely pace. I am relieved to say that I will finally have the time now to get back to work on SAFG, and on a related note, I put something to that effect on the SAFG DA page.
