I hadn't planned on it, but I went up to Denton to Mini-A-Kon. It was a lot of fun! I met an old college friend I hadn't seen in years there. I only got one commission though - they didn't have that many artists.

In other news, for those of you who don't know, the US congress is playing their usual ego-trip based politics and fighting over the budget. If nothing is passed by April 4, I'm going to be furloughed. Because of this, I am temporarily halting commissions. A very prolonged fight could be disasterous for everyone. This is filing season and those of us at the Dept. of Treasury have been working quite a lot (and some of us have done voluntary unpaid overtime) but it's a bit like trying to stop a flash flood with a sponge the size of a quarter.
