It's been shorts weather for brief periods in my neck of the woods, but a lot of times, the wind is a bit chilly to go around with bare legs and arms. That didn't stop 14,000 weirdos dressed like leprechauns, Star Wars Storm Troopers, or God knows what else from doing the McGuire's Irish Pub 5K prediction run yesterday. Prediction means you don't have to be the fastest, you just have to finish as close as you can to the time you predicted you would finish the race. Proceeds go to some military charity, and the military always shows up for these things. Google it to see the Army, Navy, and Marines running in formation and carrying their flags. After the run, it's a giant party in the parking lot, and that's why I had my birthday lunch at the restaurant on Friday rather than today.
Great work with the shorts and the ladies at the hospital, especially Dr. Nanako. I guess our lucky male decided to take a break from finding a cure for cancer, Alzheimer's or AIDS and decided to do something for himself. I've also seen and reblogged the Tumblr version.
