"This government had an idea And Congress made it law It seems like it's heavily restricted To share a file online
Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on? Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on?
We set out to join the picket line For together we cannot fail We got stopped by police at the county line They said, "Go home girls or you're going to jail"
Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on? Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on?
It's hard to explain to a conscious man Why he can't share a file So the people must suffer But it hurts me more To hear a man say fuck you, Jack
Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on? Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on?
I'm bound to follow my conscience And do whatever I can But it'll take much more than the SOPA law To knock the fight out of a fanboy man
Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on? Which side are you on, boys? Which side are you on?" - A parody of "Which Side Are You on?" by Pete Seeger, parts by Billy Bragg.
Legally speaking, with the SOPA law, congress is demanding all web sites stop any trace of sharing a file if it is questionable - even those outside of the USA. That's exceeding their authority. You really cannot regulate the internet's content except on a global scale. China has proven this. They have very tough anti-porn laws. However, they're also the biggest consumers of porn. In other words, where there's a will, there will be a way around it. So seven of the Secret Agent Fangirl ladies have turned into Ladies Godiva to protest something that should not be done. I'm not alone in opposing this. In protest, Google has covered up its logo. Animenewsnetwork.com has blacked out words randomly on their site. Wikipedia has taken their site offline and replaced it with a "contact your congressman" setup. (Unfortunately, my congressman, Pete Sessions, is in the back pocket of the censors.) Update: Ireland is jumping on the censorship bandwagon. More on that here: [link]
Of course, it will simply drive servers away from our respective countries...
Hot, naked girls wearing shoes and socks... one of my all-time favorite fetishes times seven, plus a catgirl, a girl with wings, one with glasses... sweet.
You need to sign against CISPA, before it passes Senate.
