Out of all the new animes for spring 2013, this one looks the most promising. Date A Live is about a guy who has a younger sister. When we first meet the younger sister, she is a ditzy spaz that helps her older brother out and attends school. In the storyline, there are a group of aliens known as spirits that suddenly appear and cause what are called spacequakes. The spacequakes cause massive damage wherever they appear. Dude then finds out his younger sister is in fact the commander of a force formed to deal with these problems, and the whole ditzy spaz thing was an act. He is then told that he must find a way to make one of the spirit girls fall for him.

Left to right: Class rep Origami Tobiichi, a very smart taciturn girl who also is the field commander for the squad sent to stop the timequakes; Touka Yatogami, a spirit girl that the hero must make fall for him; Reine Murasame, a laconic scientist whose normal footwear are a pair of cute bear slippers and Kurumi Tokisaki, another spirit girl that falls for the hero.
